Ethical Fashion Brands that are Essential for Spring 2019

Sustainable Fashion Brands You Need This Spring!

These clothing brands are changing their approach to fashion, some may even surprise you!

Eileen Fisher

Eileen Fisher is one of the key leaders in the fashion industry contributing towards a sustainable future for fashion. A few of the ways Eileen Fisher contributes is through using organic materials, eco friendly dye processes and reducing the water usage in their manufacturing process.

Check out some of the pieces I’ve curated below to add to your wardrobe this season! Eileen Fisher is always a fantastic go-to for quality clothing and I can guarantee you’ll wear the pieces over and over again. I also love how Eileen Fisher has developed “The System” because it really sets a good foundation for your wardrobe no matter what you end up collecting down the line.

Fun Fact: Eileen Fishers signature Textile pattern this spring (on the left) is morse code for “The Future is Female”

Reformation

The name speaks for itself. Reformation has been making leaps and bounds towards sustainable fashion and have revolutionized the manufacturing process by using their “RefScale” which tracks their water, carbon dioxide, and waste. Reformation is heavily involved from start to finish in creating their garments so they can maintain the upmost standard of sustainability, accountability and transparency.

Visit their factory on the first Friday of every month at 10:30am to tour the factory and meet the people who make your clothes!

Stella McCartney

The luxury side of sustainable fashion is Stella McCartney. Textile innovation is Stella’s strongpoint in my opinion, every standard material has been exchanged for a more sustainable alternative. For instance, Stella McCartney has opted for; re-engineered wool, fur-free-fur, organic cotton, vegetarian leather, and recycled nylon and polyester. Below you can watch one of the promotional videos to learn more about Stella McCartneys Cashmere alternative.

Stella McCartney’s 2019 Summer Collection is absolutely incredible, the florals, shirring, and ruffles are very feminine yet the modern silhouettes make the line looking fresh and new.
